Elia Nedkov

Elia Nedkov(1971) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work transcends traditional boundaries, synthesising photography, film, design, and architecture into a unified artistic language. His creative universe is grounded in minimalism and an unwavering focus on aesthetics, where form and function converge seamlessly. Elia’s projects reveal a profound engagement with the interplay of light, materiality, and the human form, often exploring themes of transformation and the interconnectedness of disciplines.
Having studied fashion in Vienna and architecture in Graz, Austria, Elia developed a unique approach that integrates the structural precision of architecture with the fluidity and sensitivity of artistic expression. His career began with the establishment of his studio in Graz in 1998, which relocated to Milan in 2003 after he won an international design competition. Over the years, he has expanded his practice globally, with studios in Sofia (2012) and Palma de Mallorca (2018), reflecting a geographical and conceptual evolution.
Elia’s artistic practice is deeply influenced by the nature of light—its capacity to sculpt, transform, and give presence to objects and spaces. In his photography, the female form serves as both a motif and a medium, exploring its intrinsic beauty and its dialogue with natural and architectural environments. These compositions often reference the traditions of Renaissance and Baroque art, evoking a sense of timelessness while reimagining classical ideals for a contemporary context.
As an art director, Elia has collaborated with leading global brands, applying his multidisciplinary expertise to projects that merge conceptual rigor with a refined visual sensibility. His work stands as a testament to the power of cross-disciplinary creativity, offering a vision of art and design as inseparable facets of the human experience.
